There's been a lot of talk on here about SHTF scenarios and bug-out bags so I thought I'd ask here. Let's try to keep this as realistic as possible. In all likelihood there probably won't be a complete meltdown of government and there probably won't be a large-scale revolution or invasion any time soon. That pretty much leaves us with terrorist attacks, natural disasters, and widespread rioting (or any combination of these since rioting and looting tend to accompany any sort of SHTF scenario.) Let's say one of these happens in your area. You have enough food/water supply to last several weeks, and whatever guns/ammo you normally keep stocked. You're not really in any immediate danger, but what do you do? Depending what happens government will probably do an evac katrina-style. Do you stick it out in your home? Do you try to get out and travel to nearby relatives? Live in the woods ? I realize there's a lot of variables at play here, but when you envision a SHTF scenario what exactly are you preparing for and what's your plan?
