How would I go about getting one? Are they even available here anymore? And about what price range would they run?

Are we talking the real select fire ak47? I'm assuming yes.

I'm sure since you obviosuly don't have the money for a select fire AK, you'd be interested in a semi-auto. Just pick up shotgun news next time you see it. You'll see plenty of Romanian SAR-1s (basically the same thing as an AK, but semi-auto).

That's why when anti gun nuts start ranting about how everyone will have fully auto assault weapons now, those that know the prices laugh.

Since you're using a P22 as a defense gun because it was cheaper than a 9mm Glock I'd say it's a safe assumption.

In the $300-$500 for semi-auto. I was thinking about getting one myself since they once again look close to stock.

Caveat: The Romanian's I use to own had a bad trigger slap. I will change out the trigger first if I get another one.

My '01 SAR-1 had trigger slap too. It was an easy fix. I still need to find a Red Star Arms trigger group though.

There are still some SAR's to be had, if you look hard enough.
