Stepping in front of something that's moving fast, sounds like some pretty good logic.

Personally, I'll swerve within my limitations, but no way in hell I'm laying it down for a ped.

If he keeps doing it why not flag him down and ask nicely if he would slow it down. If he doesnt there is always getting his license # and reporting him.

just make a gesture to slow it down next time you see him. works for me
when motorcycle cops put down their radar gun and politely ask me to slow
down with a simple palm down had wave :)

I have to agree, although it seems silly to ask a grown man to slow down while driving down a street with small children, dogs, cats and automobiles backing in and out of driveways... I have recently asked our neighbor to slow down, didn't work so I went for the backup plan! I get EVERY person who lives on the street to watch the jerk, and EVERY time he stepped out of line we called the cops! I have seen the cops at his house at least five times over the last two months, called them twice myself, one time to complain about the 50ft mark he left while doing burn outs down the street! And the other for beating his gf/wife in the front yard. This week he has moved. Who would want the cops at the house weekly? If you can get your neighbors involved it's pretty easy, after all he was making our nice neighborhood a living nightmare, so we repaid him in kind!
