how would that turn out? :o

i can't justify spending 500 on a 10-20 because i don't need it that much. 18mm is usually enough for my applications.

this is what i say now...

Hey, here's a good idea... Lemme put a $2 piece of glass on top of my precision enginered lens, and expect good things!

This is what makes me "lul" about photog's ...they want to spend $800 on a camera but, they say"oh, I am just a amateur. I don't need to spend $500 or $600 dollars on a lens."

"Let me get that 70-300 Quantary for $150" and downgrade the money I just spent to turn my $800 dollar investment into a piece of shit.

guess thats what seperates the film guys from the digital guys.

I started on an AE-1. I KNOW how important good glass is.

For some reason the people who started shooting on digital think their body is more important than the lens.

    morans.

i think some of you elitist pricks need to calm the fuck down

i too started on an ae-1, i now shoot with a damn d100. every chance you get, you want to bring yourself up a little bit. and who said i was expecting good things? i just want to know whether or not there will be clipping of the image or if ".45x" will bring an 18 down to a 12 or so.

anyway, i appreciate the the input i got; i realize that it'll be shit and make the image not as good as good as its supposed to be. my needs for a lens that'll be less than 18mm is never actually anything serious. i realized i need a wider lens when i went hunting for houses yesterday and couldn't get the entire room in the shot.

The adapter I picked up makes every image look like it was shot in at least 1600 add on top Horrible vignetting and it makes it a waste of time. I will very rarely throw it on if I'm going to do a car shoot.. but I usually end up taking it off when I pull the first set of pics and they look grainy as fuck. :hs:

Are there any examples of the images these produce?

that's exactly what i'm looking for

i mean no offense to anybody, but damn, i was just asking a question.

edit: i saw that canon actually makes a "wide angle converter" and was wondering if that one would produce any grain.
