so a couple weeks ago Gray Guns, a very well known Sig gunsmith started a contest on Sigforum for something they call the "perfecto" job on a classic P-series Sig. You had to submit a slogan and at the end of the contest they would choose the best slogan and do all the mods absolutlely free!

    this is what is included:

"If you are man enough to own a Sig then you are man enough to win my Karma. The package includes a perfection job, whether it be your carry gun or competion we will do an absolute perfect job on it, hince the name Perfecto. This includes options such as your choice of sights, custom bobbed hammer, and intermediate trigger with over travel stop. The package includes full feed and reliability, test fire, and zeroing of your sights. This Karma will start today, the 5th of July and continue to the 19th of July."

they are also sending me a T-shirt with my winning slogan printed on it! here's a link to the thread. in over 18 pages of entries mine was chosen. the slogan i entered was "More than the normal shades of Gray"

i'm pretty excited. i figure that a job like that would be pretty darn expensive if you had to pay for it, especially by such a reputable smith who is directly associated with Sigarms.

    here's the contest thread

thanks for all the kind words!

i chose the "reduced reset comprehensive duty package" and am getting that, front and rear Warren night sights, custom stainless hammer, and a new trigger. adding all of that up comes to over $500! that's as much as i paid for the gun all together.

well after talking a bit with Scott of Gray Guns, he tells me that he'll do absolutely anything to my gun that I would like done. anything else I should ask for while it's there?

See if he'll do a laser signature or some cool Grayguns logo in the frame?

    made my list!

    -Reduced Reset Comprehensive Duty Package
-Front tritium night sight with Warren Tactical rear
-FAT stainless guide rod with wolff spring
    -polishing of internals
-Custom ground intermediate length trigger (refinished silver)
    -Internal over travel reduction
-reduced and serrated spur on the hammer (refinished silver)
    -Lightened DA pull

added up using the prices on their website all this comes out to $622 without the refinishing and lightened DA pull. just hope it doesn't take too long, i'll be anxious to get it to the range. not like i can complain if it does anyway.

well he approved my wish list!! he also said he'll lighten up the DA pull 2 pounds and that it'll be as smooth as butter. now all i've gotta do is ship it in.

    i'm kinda contemplating a reverse two-tone refinish...

i'd feel kinda bad asking him for all that though...

eh, i think it looks cooler. especially with the sig black grips on a silver frame. but i'm not gonna ask him to do that much work on a free gun.
