And one of my week old 8-gauge plugs had pulled through the back of my right ear!

I remember the piercer say I was kinda up the creek if they came out within the first week or so. It was a week today. I bit the bullet and shoved it back in. The front side of it was still like 1/2 way in my ear, so I shoved it back through instead of taking it all the way out and putting it back in the right way...

Is there any way to prevent this? It was one of my main concerns while sleeping with them.

It is pulling through backwards, not on the o-ring side... The front is just flaired out and they are smooth glass.

if they are plugs they should have 2 o-rings .. one on the back and one in the front

if they are single flares then the flared part should be in the front, w/ an o-ring in the back

    just stating the obvious :mamoru:

When you first stretch to a new size, try to not irritate your ears as much. Sleep in consistency so that this does not happen. Try sleeping on your back.

    Quick tips:
    - When you stretch, wait 5 days before tempering with them.
    - Wash/Clean them with Dial antibacterial soap (orange one).
    - Dry them off, wait 2 minutes, then proceed to apply Vitamin E oil on your ears.
    - Massage the vE in so that your lobes develope better.
    - slip in the plug/gauge without pain (or that much).

    Exp: 4+ years stretching.
    - 1inch lobes
    - 0g second hole
