For my kimber. Ten II stainless. They wanted 100 dollars plus my gun for the glock tagged at 525.
425 for a gun I paid 759 for in feb. I told them they were nuts.
"we also need to make money"
You always lose on a shop trade.
I looked at an M1 Garand at a local gunshop. it looked like a CMP rack grade, and they wanted $900 for it . i doubt the shop bought it from the previous owner for $150.
pics of your kimber?
You deserve to lose your butt trading a nice Kimber for a rack Glock.
Can you put the Kimber on consignment instead?
Just sell it privately. Then offer them cash for their gun. Some gun stores have a trade in price and then they have a cash price which is usually lower
I am still undecided about getting rid of it in any manner.
Here is a tip when going to a gun shop. They will usually give you 60% of wholesale in a trade or buy out if it's in excellent shape.
Sell it on your own, then get a Glock29
is that a steal or aluminum frame?
I want!!! I went to a local store and the ultracarry in steel was $688 new! So i am presuming yours is alu?
Stainless insert I belive.
There is a gun store around here that's horrible at trades as well. Wants to screw you out of money really nice.
They wouldn't even lower the price of a Glock there when I told them I was just going to go to the store down the street to buy it I think taking less of your normal profit is better than not selling a gun at all.
this is a seemingly simple concept that many businesses fail to understand
is that the compact?
trade for my sig 228
Seen any Glocks lately?
I was offered $300 for a Wilson KZ
I put it up on Glock Talk and sold it in like an hour
What did you get for it?
I wanted to trade my kimber classic custom straight up for a used 226 that had a good amount of holster wear. The tag on the Sig said $450, they told me that they would take my gun and $80. I laughed at them and left.
I think $900 or 950
