And I liked the AF alot better on the 30d...

is it just me or is it faster?

anything else that is better or worse on the 30d compared to the d80?

D80 isnt meant to compete with the 30D..now if you said it was a d200 then it's a whole other ballgame

THE d80 is about 85% D200 and the SD cards are actually better than the CF cards..smaller and less likely to break pins.

Considering how much more expensive they are and how little they hold comparibly, I would strongly disagree right now. Besides I don't know to many people who complain of CF size or that have broken pins.

i don't like sd...not because of any sort of technological reason, mainly because it feels flimsy when inserting and they seem easy to lose (i have a nikon P&S that uses SD)

Thats one of the reasons why companies are skeptical about switching from CF to SD. They know a lot of their market are people who have bought a good amount of CF cards and if they come out with a camera only taking SD and the competition comes out with a camera taking CF, it could be a deciding factor.
