And my date was bitching about the smell of weed the whole time, we had to stay in the jeep because it was lightly sprinkling, and I happen to have my glock 19 on my right hip, it gets really exposed when i sit in the driving position, anyways-

my drink went dry so I got out of the jeep to goto the jeep cooler I had in the rear (no alcohol for me, movie was almost over anyways)

So as I'm getting the drinks out, a car is pulling up coming over the berms, his headlight must have grazed me for just a few seconds, and I'm assuming the rest of this story- because all I heard was "cops" and the nignogs to the right of me threw their "joint" and all piled into the car, I then heard, and I shit you not, what had to be 6-8 more cars crank up immediately, and it was like katrina all over again, they were herding out

it doesn't sound like much, but 8 cars out of probably 15-17 cars total at that movie (captivity, terrible movie)

anyways, it was pretty peaceful after that!

cliffs: trying to watch movie at drive in, open carry on hip, goto get drink, nignogs spot my "piece" and one yells cops, nignogs ditch weed and evacuate

True, they were held captive there because GWB doesn't care about them.... :wtc:

lol @ being a cop for a few minutes though! That's an excellent way to clear the theater so you can get jiggy with the missus in private.

    Just be careful...

A movie may or may not be a public gathering.

You have a link to the AG opinion that mentions movie theaters?

Also, AG opinions, are just that, opinions. They are not law.

All I'm saying is keep that in mind...

I want to be able to carry in churches...

    ...and state parks...
    ...and publicly owned buildings...
    ...and restaurants that serve alcohol...
...and within a "reasonable distance" of a bus stop...
    ...and sporting events...

The only 2 I want that we don't have are businesses that serve liqour but less than 50% of revenue is alcohol (Basically so that you can carry in resteraunts but not in bars) and to be able to carry in state parks. I don't ask for much :big grin:

state parks would be nice but also dangerous for those who are camping and shit, i think guns in general being outlawed in state parks is a great idea, ccw or not

i wouldn't step foot in one if i knew people were shooting at shit, and thats exactly what would go down

I don't want it to shoot at shit, I want it for protection just in case. I live near the smokies so we get to worry about bears when we go camping. You would think that if you have a Carry permit you would be responsible enough to realize you shouldn't be discharging your weapon in a forest preserve for no reason.

State park in Tn is pretty well the same, cept we probably get more tourists (which is what I was the only time I went to one of ours). I definetly agree that firearms shouldn't be allowed there without CHP and if a CHP holder discharges their weapon for no reason they should be in some trouble.

So you don't think the people of Georgia can be trusted with weapons in State Parks while the citizens of the 35 other states that allow it handle it just fine?

GeorgiaCarry's map comparing the various states' lists of off-limits areas

For the record: Georgia is the shittiest state in the Union. They were going to execute a man with no physical evidence and a large majority of witnesses claiming police coercion.
