Yeah, I was getting dressed after a couple of hours doing some cardio. Some idiotic talking head was on the teevee talking about how guns are not appropriate for the workplace, and the NBA won't tolerate them on its premises and especially not in their locker rooms.

The funny part is that I was slipping my handgun back into the holster as they said the locker room part.

And yeah, I have the gun in a locked case in a locked locker in a room that's regularly patrolled by staff. Personally I think it's safer than leaving it in my truck in the parking lot.

can't defend gilbert arenas at all personally. I love guns, support the 2nd amendment etc, but the dip shit took guns out and waived em around like they were toys, assholes like that are why the rest of us suffer with shit gun laws limiting us.

fuck gilbert arenas and all the thug gangsta fags just like him. i hope he dies in a fucking car crash the stupid fuck.

if there were less ass holes like gilbert arenas maybe the anti gun fags would have less bullshit to throw in our faces.

if you took your gun out and started playing with it in the middle of where you work,,,,,would you still have a job? I sure as hell wouldn't lol.

(not that we'd do that sort of stupid shit, but you know what i mean)

In that specific instance, they were both total dumbshits and should have spent some time in jail.

In general, guns are very necessary in the workplace. I really don't feel like watching helplessly while my coworkers and I get mowed down by some jackass with an AK.

Substitute "Dick" for "gun" and the NBA would be all cool with it

    +1

IDIOTS like him make it tough on the rest of us responsible gun owners.

I don't carry to work because we have one of those "gun free zone" signs out front, which keeps everyone in the building safe!

Seriously though... For those that can/do carry to work... No one should ever even know that you do... until you need to pull it out and use it (someone tries to rob/shoot up the place)...

Because nothing bad EVER happens at work, right?

I guess I should tell our building security they are out of a job, we don't need them either. And the locks on our doors, totally unnecessary. I'm sure that disgruntled customer who was trying to break down our office door a few months ago just wanted in to give me a big bear hug.

I had to do it. After I read the first line with the substitute, it needed to be done.

Fuck it. I'm editing them all.

The whole "immediate termination" clause in my employment contract should I get caught with a weapon on the premise.... While no one "should" know that I was carrying, if I slip up and someone sees it (my shirt rides up or something) and reports me, I'd lose my job. In this crap economy, it just isn't worth the risk, so I leave in in my car.

Are guns appropriate in the workplace? Absolutely.

Is waving a gun around in a crowded locker room an acceptable way to solve an argument about a card game? Absolutely not.

Well, now he's suspended for the rest of the season without pay. Something like 70 games at $146,000 per game. I wonder how much was at stake in the card game :mamoru:
