    At a measly weight, and while I was doing it, some <120lbs skinny black girl went over to the squat rack and started squatting 225. I was like :wtc:

    In my defense, she had to be a pole vaulter or jumper or something because she was pretty skinny :o

    :mamoru: In my defense, I'm like 136lbs and have only been working out since the beginning of summer, and not hardcore. My legs can handle it, but even the bar on the smith hurts my shoulders too much to do too much weight, I'm afraid the normal squat rack will own me :o

    Seriously do some searching about not squatting with a smith machine on this forum. Ceaze posted a thing about it. Lower the weight as much as you need to and free squat that shit, there's not excuse for that really. I dump the bar every single squat workout at least once and it's not that big of a deal, just a little loud.

    Then again my skwat numbers are pathetic for my weight but that's besides the point.

    Fuck off faggot haters, don't post here if you don't like the super seven.

    I'm actually going with a guy that knows his stuff and is going to help me start doing free squats on saturday. The main reason is because my gym during the summer only had a smith machine, and I just never learned and the bar destroys my shoulders :o

    You'll get it. The best way to keep it from jacking your shoulders is to just keep EVERYTHING tight and flexed. Arms, shoulders, upper back. Grip the bar as hard as you fucking can, that helps.

    I fucking hate squats haha

    speaking of smith machine squats. Lastnight there was this guy on the smith machine doing squats. He had like 6 or 7 45s on both sides. It was funny because he was wearing kneewraps and screaming really loud on each rep. His range of motion was about 2 inches.

    The best part was that other people were coming up to him and saying "damn, your strong! how can you lift so much?!" He says "I've been working out for like 7 years , Brah..."

    hit the cage, warm up with just the bar and go from there. leave your ego at the door. thats what i started with and now a year later with a loose routine im squating 250 for reps at 145lbs 5'7". everyones gotta start some where
