And I stopped to look at this....then signed the papers on it. 19,382.03 after tax tags and title. Salvaged Title after some jackass flipped it.

Good kill on the new car. Cobras are teh fast. :bigthumb:

Hope the car was fixed properly though, buying a car for that much with a salvage title would make me a little nervous.

edit: just noticed the wheels and hood, it's an 04 right?

That's an 04. 03's had the 5 spoke wheels and no extractor hood.

If it is an 04 then it is not an anniversary edition. All 10th anniversary cars were 03's. 10th anniversary cars also have red calipers, anniversary badging, and red seat inserts. Also, both 03 and 04 cobra's had the 5 spoke rims and extractor hood. Its probably just an 04 with anniversary wheels on it. Anyway it is still a bad ass car.

I was going to correct them on this. It's not a 10th Anniversary Edition. You got suckered.

I ran the VIN. It is a 10th Anniversary. Its an 03 not an 04. It has the red inserts on the seats, the red brake calipers, the carbon fiber shifter and the badging.

have fun with that wrecked ford. my mom bought a wrecked 96 linc conti in 98 and she sold it in early '04 for $1600...she bought it for $24,xxx the exterior was FLAWLESS, the interior was FLAWLESS (minus the two front door panels) but the mechanicals were shit.

it was at the dealer for months at a time: complete new rear suspension, new transmission, CHECK RIDE CONTROL bug, and all kinds of other little stupid shit. when she finally got rid of it it had 88k miles and the replaced tranny died, the power steering rack exploded, the air conditioning worked 110% one day, and blew hot air the next day, and there was some type of electrical bug that made the ECU think the doors were open when they had all been slammed shut numerous times (the interior lights go on).

we found out a few months before she sold it that it had been wrecked when i was doing body work the the rear pass. side of the car. a green car shouldnt have a silver door right? my dad had suspected it was a wreck from day one, but never really said anything till shit hit the fan.

    so good luck :)
