    and threw it out.

No j/k. I used it. I did squats for the first time ever today ... it is pathetic  ... I can bench like 40 more pounds than I can squat. I really want to get more serious about lifting. So I want to bulk for a few months. I was thinking of a revised work out schedule:

    Day 1: Chest
    Day 2: Legs/Back
    Day 3: Biceps/Triceps
    Day 4: rest

What am I doing wrong now? :hsd:

Oh word? I thought that doing chest the same day i did triceps would be overworking my triceps; back on the same day as biceps would be overworking my biceps. Everyone agree that this is not true?

Then you don't repeat any muscles until 6 days later. Muscles do not need to be used more frequently than that?

IF you are working out tris and bis with chest and back respectively you would in turn do lower volume with those muscle groups as they are worked pretty hard already. However some people don't like working tri with chest and bi with back as they say they can't get a good workout since it is already pretty exhausted.

    Chest/Abs
    Legs/Bi
    Off
    Back
    Shoulders/Tri

Something like that is a pretty good workout routine imo

Well everyones opinion and goals are different. Personally I think working out a muscle once a week is sufficient (I do abs/calves more than once a week cause I find them to recover faster) enough as long as you workout with a high intensity. Others like more and that is okay too I'm sure. See what works for you thats all.

It's not not true, but. His fix to your routine is better than you had.

Just switch chest\bis back\tris every once in a while for a couple weeks at a time.

    This is what i do....

    Chest
    Back
    Triceps
    Biceps/Legs
    Shoulders/Foreams/Traps
    Off
    Off

The next week I'll start with Tri's and do this

    Triceps
    Biceps
    Chest
    Back/Legs
    Shoulders/Foreams/Traps
    Off
    Off

    Next week..

    Back
    Chest
    Biceps
    Triceps/Legs
    Shoulders/Foreams/Traps
    Off
    Off

Only way to make sure once a month you fully attack a body part without fatigue from compound exercises IMO.

alright, im not gonna flame you this time, the more i read your posts the more i see how much of a noob at lifting you are

this would be a great routine for you:
    http://forums.offtopic.com/showthread.php?t=1574598

modify it yourself if you are hellbent on working bi's... throw in an extra day on the weekend or something from the beach muscles

stick with that for 6-8 months then change up routines

that routine will get you bigger and stronger.
