Fucking windshield wipers streaking (common, wide-spread issue with these cars)
    A/C didn't work...
Slow/laggy shifts below 20-25MPH (i'm talking 3-5 seconds before it would downshift to 1st/2nd if you went WOT)
And, lastly, a rattle in the trunk... sounded like a screw/bolt rolling around in the trunk lid...

They replaced the driver windshield wiper, no more streaking. Updated the TCM, all laggy shifts gone... transmission can actually make up its mind now! Disassembled my trunk and found a plastic retainer rolling around in the trunk lid, no more rattle.

And, my fucking a/c compressor is toast... so they ordered me a new one. How the hell is the a/c compressor toast... the car only has 9600 miles... wtf?

All in all... I still love the shit out of my G8... best car I've ever owned. Fuck GM for killing Pontiac.

I'm actually impressed they took care of it.

I took my gto in for warranty work one time and got good service from the pontiac dealer, better than most dealers I've dealt with

    I like the G8 GT/GXP

I test drove one a few months ago. The damn wipers kept hitting each other. I was embarassed for the salesman.

Me too... mine's just a GT... measly 6.0L

I took it to a Chevy dealership that I know quite a few people at... and I made sure they understood that I know my vehicle... and laid out EXACTLY what I wanted done and nothing more.

I bought mine without ever having driven one...

Found it on g8board.com... dirt cheap... drove 3.5 hours to the dealership that had it, drove it for 5 minutes... bought it and drove it home. Best decision ever.

I've had quite a few I would consider "worst car"... pretty much everything I owned/bought between the ages of 16-20.

These are MINOR issues...every car is gonna have little issues like this..

Meh, I think they'll hold a little value..

I only paid a hair over $20k for mine, with 48/48 extended warranty, fully loaded (sport, premium, roof), and 3700 miles...

And I won't be getting rid of this car anytime soon... once the warranty is done, it will get fully built (heads, cam, etc.) and become the 'weekend warrior' car.

Some of the other stuff I can understand..but why didn't you just change the fucking wiper yourself?

Or is the issue more complex? What's causing it?

Funny my friend's had to have the AC compressor replaced at 6K miles, and they were never able to fix the rattle under his dash.

Because it's a god damned 30" wiper blade that's like 40$ and the dealership will do it for free.

Yes, I am sure they have been absolutely flawless with no need for any service, ever.

Because it's under warranty, lol... why do any of the shit myself outside of the standard oil changes/brakes/etc when someone else will do it for free?

    I do have a GT...
