    What do you think?

(If it's kinda hard to tell, that number is "22", as in minutes left)

I have a PowerBook G4, which I got in the fall of 2004.

I remember there being some way you can do some calculations in the System Profile, but I do not see the sections "battery".

    1. Search Spotlight for a program called "System Profiler"
    2. On the left, select Hardware --> Power
    3. Look under battery information
    4. It should look something like this:

    Battery Information:

    Battery Installed: Yes
    First low level warning: No
    Full Charge Capacity (mAh): 5404
    Remaining Capacity (mAh): 5330

    Amperage (mA): 0
    Voltage (mV): 12492
    Cycle Count: 15

The numbers in blue are the important ones, post them.

yeah your battery is toast. over 500 cycles and the capacity is only 960 of the original 4400.

I've already gone through two batteries. After ~400 cycles, it's shot.

^ no , your battery just isn't charged up all the way, theres a difference.

your full charge capacity is 5039 and the original was like 5500 or so.

so your not too bad. i assume your remaining charge when u looked up that stat was about 78%

If I just take my Lappy into an Apple store, will they give me a new battery?
