I snapped this with some cheapo canon point and shoot on Tuesday. When I saw it in on my computer screen I realized I kinda want to do something with it so I googled a photoshop tutorial. played with some brightness / colors / hue and a warming filter and you can see the result in the 2nd picture. I hate the sky, though. What should I do with the sky? I'd like the clouds to come out a little better and don't like the contrast in the original to the water and in my attempt to make it look better.

I know there are probably a million imperfections in the picture but as I said. $120 canon p & s + "oh that looks pretty", click (on automatic).

the pic is good. not a masterpiece by any definition, but good. you can definitely fix the horizon and do a better job at PP.

Best one yet. Love the sky but water too saturated.

So you like the 1976-faded-photo sky, mixed in with Topazinated water? Because it almost makes me cross-eyed.

The "best" one is the original and about the only thing I find redeeming about it, is that it's proof that the operator didn't drop the camera in the water.

"Best one yet" means I like that version the best out of all presented (One had a purple sky and one had a overly saturated sky AND water). And I did mention the overly saturated water in my previous post. :hsugh:

Well, that's like me commenting that the best sex I've had yet, was with my older sister, not my younger. Which BTW I find somewhat odd, because you would think jailbait would be better, but all you get is a lot of starfish action. I guess experience does matter. Anyways, speaking of starfish...Cool tide pool, Ansel.

You must like taking boring pictures. You'd have to if you think original unprocessed images straight out of the camera are the best ones. Because it only make me yawn.

No. Actually, I am a big fan of PP photos, sometimes to the point of feeling a little dirty about it. But your psuedo-gradiated sky / vignetting effect, just plain bothers me. I feel like I'm looking out of the windshield of a Donked-up 1985 Monte Carlo.

If anybody's looks decent to me, it's Girth's, but I still prefer the original in this case.

Thanks for responding to your complete lack of reading comprehension, which I was addressing. And relying on straw man fallacy to make your "arguement". :ugh2:

I'm sorry, did you think we were in an argument? Because an important step in winning an argument, is being able to actually spell argument. Another is buying an AV or having an earlier join date. You could even trump me by having an Orb!
