Basically, I get absolutely zero cardio.

I'd like to work it into when I go to the gym, but I'm already there for an hour, and I don't always have the time or energy left after a bob starr/christophers routine.

    So...

Aside from just making time (which is obvious), what about replacing some of my strength training with cardio? Like 3 weeks worth of strength, 1 week of cardio, repeat. Something along those lines.

Would I be sacrificing too much regarding strength building?

That would be retarded. Just do 20-30 mins at the end of your weight training.

Do some at the end of the weights. Or do it on non-lifting days.

Okay. Just seeing if it was a viable option.

Yeah, I guess that's the only answer.

I substituded my car for a bike and now get a fuckload of cardio. Try racing to work, swearving in and out. For me to travel 8km on bike now takes me 20 mins. Not too bad considering I have several huge hills and traffic to deal with.

Yeah. I don't know who the fuck he is. All I could recall was that his first name started with a B and his last name was Starr.

    Meh.

I'm married. I have a career that keeps me busy, and until recently, I was going after a second MS.

I'd love to devote myself to fitness like I did to mountain biking back in HS and early college, but life changes, and I've chosen a balanced approach to life. I'm not about to sacrifice other aspects of my life for this.

I'm not sure where you are in life, but this is the sad reality for many of us.

too bad. Works for me, working at a University, I have access to all our shower and change rooms. I also get a discount on my parking pass since I bike 1/2 the time or more.

well, my gym consists of 30 people from all walks of life and everyone finds time to do what they need - a good amount have multiple kids and most are married. i'm seriously not trying to be an asshole here, but its not hard to find an extra 30 minutes before work or when you are sitting down watching tv later in the night

split your cardio up between 2 shorter sessions instead of one long one.. apparently it's a bit better for you. or so says a study found in men's health

No, you're right. I'm just saying that I've been trying to be consistent about weights, and there is a finite amount of time in a day. Cardio has been way on the back burner for a long time now, and I'm trying to rectify that.

I was hoping to do so within the pre-existing time structure I already have, but if that's not possible, I need to reeaxmine my priorities. I'll find space...

    Okay.

    I just found an option.

My wife always gets up 20-30 minutes before me. Instead of sleeping in (we commute together), I'll get up, jog to the basketball court at the top of the street, and do sprints for 10 to 15 minutes.

Any ideas on how often I should do this to get an adequate amount of cardio?
