So I strained or partially tore my sartorius muscle

    In my leg. Different stories by both my family doc and my sports medicine ortho doc. Family doc says its torn because I'm too bulky and shouldn't have been squatting more than 50lbs(WTF), says no leg work for 4 weeks or more, no cardio, only upper body. SO I go to the ortho, he takes an xray to check my hips just incase, says I just have a strain(otherwise known as a partial tear) and can do leg extentions and curls but thats it. The ortho wants me to go to physical therapy but I'm not sure.I don't want to put my legs at risk for anymore damage. This totally sucks. Anyone on here have any sound advice? This is very depressing to me as working legs is the most important bodypart to me. I know I have my whole life to workout but its just devastating to hear someone say you tore something.

    I say follow the ortho's advice.
