This thursday saturday and sunday
Keep and open mind and do everything the instrutors tell you. Bring your gear, lunch, and plenty of fluids if it's not provided by the course. Good luck and have fun. Let us know how it goes.
Yay! Have fun and relax when you're on the bike. It's easier to keep the bike in control when your nerves are controlled.
I was going to buy an Arai Quantum/F helmet and a jacket & gloves, but the place I was gonna get it from said Id need to bring proof of course completion to the shop to get my 15% off. So if Im spending that much on a helmet (I really want the shoei x-11 but its 600 bucks ) Ill just use the musty helmets they loan out
Most important thing: Look where you want to go. Keep your head up and look through the turns, not down at the ground.
1 day left
Congrats! Hope you have a good time!
Have fun man.
Leaving right now for day 1
So what did you learn today?
Fine-C read through the basic controls etc. Its funny because this smaller older lady hasnt even driven a manual car, so I dunno if she can hack it. Thanks to all the forums Ive been reading I went in there asking about apexing, sequential shifting and some other car related terms and wowed the instuctors Gonna go buy some cheap boots to get through the course with tonight and saturday we get to ride
In my MSF class, we had SIPDE: Scan, Identify, Predict, Decide, Execute.
Oh wait, isn't fine-c the procedure for starting the bike? Fuel, Ignition, Neutral, uh... erection, climax?
I passed best 180 dollars spent in a long ass time
Congrats! So what happened to the old lady? Anybody fail?
The old lady got less points subtracted thean I did That is total bullshit because she did the final test like 4 times. I figured she failed for sure, but we get to the end and hes like everybody passed.
hmm sounds easy
congrats, i spent $150 on mine, I wished they would of taught us more real life situations like high speed manuevering (we never went over 20 mph) and uphill and downhill/ embankment turns, how to merge on and off the freeway, still nonetheless i would highly recommend that class
i need to take the class.
Take it its so worth it, I went cruising with this lady on a ninja 2fiddy yesterday, and she sucks @ teh riding, just because she either A) doesnt have teh powah or is indimidated by speed or B) She hasnt taken the msf course so she doesnt know anything about the basics of riding thus I owned her skill wise.
Is it better to take the MSF with a smaller bike?
I have a ZX7 and I'm thinking maybe I should use my gf's F4i or should I take the MSF with my own bike...
MSF provides you with a bike to ride.
if you want to use your own bike they have a expanded basic rider course that allows you to use your own bike. it costs a little more but you get to use your bike and theres less people in the class so instructors pay more attention to you.
Im gonna take the advanced course in the near future now that I got my new bike.
I have 2 x-11's and they are soooo comfortable and light. Also, when you get to hauling ass, they dont suck your head up as much as others.
so what should I look for when buying a helmet/any gear in general ?
just went ot take a look and fingerbang some bikes and compusa to see if they had any ipod minis.
the SV650s is a fairly big bike got on it and it didnt feel right...
Ninja's more my size -- was an EX500..
fuckers are expensive
