    looks like they will have some decent deals. i remember they had a good deal last year on black friday

    kinda sucks that the middle grade macbook + applecare + tax - student discount= $1482
    (the fastest white macbook - stock)
    seems like so much to pay, hopefully i can get one for less than that

    i didn't think that apple really 'observed' black friday, always thought it was more for the big retailers like best buy and such. even with them, the deals are on low-midend products...nothing too fancy.

    frankly, if you just want a macbook at a cheap price look @ the refurbished section on apple. i would think the student discount would still apply.

    edit: they don't seem to have any core 2 duo's out for refurbs yet.

    but, you can get:

    2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    1GB memory
    80GB hard drive1
    Double-layer SuperDrive

    for $1199+tax. Hold up on getting applecare, you have a whole year. That will save close to 200 I believe.

    Apple had $100 off on ibooks last year. iMacs too and a few other things had other discounts.
