Okay, so a buddy of mine is currently in basic training at Ft Jackson () and his past couple letters have basically chronicled how easy it is compared to mine (I'm 11b, so I went to Benning), so I decided to take matters into my own hands, you know, for his own good.

I decided to send him a fully inflated sex pig, knowing full well that his Drills and everyone would be watching him open it.

Today I recieved a letter from said friend and this is what it said:

Dude. Fuck you. Do you know what they are making me do with that damn pig? First of all, they smoked me until like four a.m. so I'm writing this on no sleep. Second, they got a piece of rope and are making me walk the damn thing twice a day. And finally, they said that I now have to carry the thing with me on every ruckmarch from now on.

    How awesome am I?

No, he's 42A (Human Resources :greddy:). He tried to go infantry but found out he was colorblind at MEPS. That coupled with his shitty ASVAB only left him with a few choices. His recruiter told him that he could switch to infantry after 6 months as a desk jockey without any problems, which I'm still not sure I believe.

I wasn't around when all this went down, all I know is what he told me, and all he knows is what they told him at MEPS

your friend could have gone in as an 03 series (infantry) in the Marines w/ colorblindness. same thing happened to me at meps when i was going to enlist in the Army as an 11B...recuriter told me the same thing, about switching mos's after a few months but the guy seemed full of shit so it wasnt worth the gamble

You should remember that there are pretty much wavers for everything in the Army.

I was getting really sick of his letters saying what an easy time he was having. Before this I was considering tricking him into telling me his Drills' names so I could email them on AKO and respect a smoking on my behalf.
