MIL so I saw this O-5 walking around the other day in his new ABU

    and the ABU was starched to hell with creases down the sleeve. :ugh:

    I thought the AF came out with this new uniform so they don't have to do that shit anymore.

    It comes with creases already on it. Are you sure it was starched?

    If so, you should have asked him and corrected him if it was indeed starched.

    The BDU was supposed to be wash and wear too. It's just a matter of time before some fucking General decides the ABU should be starched and pressed too, has it put in 36-2903, and completely defeats the purpose of the ABU.

    I talked to the local dry cleaner and they said they are surprised at how many ABU's are being starched and pressed. IMO I think they look like ass after a few washes and indeed need pressed. I just like a nice sharp looking uniform. Could be that my wife is a MTL.

    I am the only one here at my unit with them. When I go to Holloman, people look at me funny, because Holloman doesn't have them yet.

    IMHO, creasing the stripe looks better. Especially if you're a MSgt... Otherwise, it puts this huge flat spot on your sleeve...
