36 rounds... max dist 15 ft... :mamoru:

I was the first to go and didn't stick around to see how the other people shot... It looked like most of them hardly shot a gun before... and two of them were using .22LRs :o

Was trying to see how fast I could shoot at the close range but the target kept moving because of the muzzle blast :o

    :noes:

The instructor invited me to attend some IDPA even that's about an hour away. He also belongs to the same rifle and pistol club I'm in so he's going to get me a map to the shoot.

    Mac: How's your shooting, Thorny?
Thorny: Good. I've been dead on all morning.
Mac: What about that little guy?
[points to a bullet hole in the shooting target's neck]
Thorny: Who, that little guy? I wouldn't worry about that little guy.

    ;)

    Congrats.

good job but that would have failed here. there is no way to tell that you actually got the right amount of rounds on the target

you can be as accurate as you want to a certain extent. they just have to be able to tell you're accurate. if you put 5 bullets through the same hole and you shot 5 times, it only looks like 1 shot on paper; therefore they can not prove your accuracy when audited.

that kinda makes sense... but only barely. they should supply 36 different targets per shooter, one round each :hsd:

    :dunno:

It's what they tell us here. In fact, they recommend that for your 4 distances (3, 7, and 12 yards, plus a yardage >3 of your choosing), you shoot in different areas on the target, so that they can count up all your shots. That would fail here, which is completely retarded, but it's the rules.

Doesn't change the fact that it's some awesome shooting.

    Glock 34...

The others were all shooting revolvers. Two of them were .22LRs. I didn't stick around to see how they shot. Did my test, got my certificate to send in with my applications, and left.

He did everyone one at a time and watched right over your shoulder... You'd have to be a really bad shot and really sneaky about it so that he didn't know you shot the target though the hole.

Put things in perspective though: those groupings are from a distance of 5 meters. That's nowhere near difficult to achieve... :squint:

No offense to thread starter, of course. :)

You should have shot them all through the target on the upper left corner.
