  3. save your money, after replacing your ink cartrige for the 5th time you'll probably end up throwing it in the closet or using it as a paper weight.

Unless you're going to be printing high qulity photos fairly often, that money could probably go to something a little better. What's an 8x10 print at Wal-Mart cost these days anyhow? 3$?

The Epson R220 is by far the best sub $100 printer out there. Ink is going to cost you a shitload though.

Epson's dye based inks are the best. Canon's are not as good, but still good. HP sucks big time.

seriously. I printed some of my pictures with black borders on them with the Epson, and they came out amazing. On the HPs, they combined the colors to make the black, so it's not even a true black. Plus the image is way overexposed and saturated. This is true even of the $500 8750

Hehe, I get to play with an Epson 7600 all day long. I don't think there is a color it can't reproduce. Haha.

Is epson's color management better than canon's?

 I just know that as long as my scanner and monitor are calibrated with my printers, it comes out looking exactly the same. Perfect. Everytime.

  12. Yea that's the way my buddys is. His printer came with free printer classes. :mamoru: he got to go to some class to learn how to use his printer I was laughing when he told me that. :)

this thing is huuuuuge though I think it was like $2,000 or something (probably the one you're talking about)

Oh and whats' up with your avatar?

canon's have more vibrant colors, epson's tend to be more acurate and more archival, and can print on far more types of paper.

j&R has a canon 4x6 dye sub printer for $50. more expensive per print, but far faster, and better looking, and its ultra portable and prints on postcard paper. its one of my 3 different printers, along with a epson r200 and epson 4800

the 7600 is 24" wide and even more expensive. kinda crappy because you have to hand push sheet paper, but its designed for roll paper obviosuly

    this is the 4800

The 7600 is an older model, it print 24" by 100' on just about anything. I think we may be getting a 9800 soon, too. :big grin:

The MOST annoying thing about the damn thing is that it can't automatically recognize the difference between roll paper and sheet paper.

And as for my avatar, go look it up on IMDB. There's a movie coming out alter this year called Snakes On A Plane
