Knees wrapped up (first time doing this)
    belt on
wide ass PL'ing stance stopped right at parellel

hit 435 minus whatever the smith machine weight is..

Before you jump all over me I only maxed on the smith because im getting ready for the car squat in my upcoming competition. :)

PLing squats are a lot different from the OLY squats that I've been doing for the last year, I felt like I was part of the darkside :noes:

    just thought i'd share

I've never heard of doing a smith squat to train for a car squat. Most dudes I know just squat.. including one of the only dudes to not bomb the car squat at last years America's Strongest Man :dunno:

But if it works it works.. it's pretty hard to train for shit like a car squat or car dead without the actual shit.

Some guy on MM recommended it.. But seeing as I've never tried out the implement I really dont know what the differences is. I figured that the car squat would be more like restrictive (like the rails on the smith machine) but I really have no idea :dunno:

Chris are you going to be going down to snake rivers strongest man on Oct 6th by any chance?

wide stance felt awkward to me, obviously knee wraps were much different. everything below my damn knees were going numb  and the smith machine puts alot of strain on my back

Yeah it's supposed to be huge! A show to honor the life of JM.
5+ Pros are going to be competing, strong forces in the Heavies and Lights, tons and tons of sponsors. Lots of good prizes :)

Well, as far as moving weight goes, it gives a huge advantage.
