So I kind of shut off my sound.

I was ending processes and accidentally ended something that got rid of my sound. When I try to play a song on WMP, it says no sound device found, same when I tried to play a game. I'm on Windows XP, how do I fix this?

    Did you reboot the machine?

Of course, that's always the "first" thing to do.

Well, I had to ask since you didn't mention it... :)

Weird.. I never heard of killing a process and not have it come back up after rebooting.

Any conflicts or missing drivers in device manager?

How about reinstalling the sound card drivers?
