yea i read some reviews about this lens having factory defects, so i worried about getting a new one.

according to this guy, its very sharp.

Also, that ebay price is wrong, I gave him more and he ended it early for me :)

I just dropped a Grand canadian on a EF-S 10-22mm, WIDE as hell. I love it.

I am jealous. I want one, but I'm hesitant because it's EF-S, I'd love to be able to use a (true) 10-22 on my film camera aswell :noes: Did you look at anything else? (like the sigma 12-24) or any other super wide zooms?

Didn't really look at anything else, tried it out in the store and shit myself it was SO wide, took the CF card home looked over the pics, seemed damn sharp to me, so I went back and bought it.
I am not too concerned about the EF-S thing. I figure if I ever uggrade to a 1 series I can always sell this lens for probably pretty close to what I paid for it. There is a shitload of Rebels, 20D's & 350D's out there.

I can't find the L ring pic of my 24-70. I'll have to take another snapshot tonight or something of it.

Pink L Ring > Red... it's like the class of belts in Tae Kwon Do

Nice, I was also looking at that lens.

I will get the 70-200 and then 17-40 most likely.

I have a lot of shit to pay off now though, so I need a job first.

a great alternative to the 70-200 canon L f/2.8 is the sigma
I own and shoot that lens and love it. for only $200 more than the canon L f/4 its well worth it.

The 24-70 is a great walkaround lens and i might have to sell one of my wide angles to get the 24-70

currently i have every MMrange covered from 10-200 without the 1.6x

and i hear you about paying things off... this hobby is anything but cheap
