    in order to buy the d300 :eek3::eek3:

    someone offered me 1,500 for my d200 with grip I jsut said fuck it. After seeing how fast the D200 is going down in price, might as well sell it while I can

    I CANT WAIT! :bowdown::bowdown::naughty::naughty:

    How much do brand new D200's generally go for now?

    The place I usually check out in downtown Chicago still has them listed ~$1499. :o

    I mostly go to the Highland Park location, though.

    There's another place I've gone to called Alpine, but haven't checked their prices. :hs:

    Know of any better brick & mortar places? :x:

    calumet isnt too bad. but their pricing is nearly the same as helix. alpine is in des plaines, right?

    i dont know of any other B&M places. i tend to just order my stuff from bhphotovideo or adorama. cant beat their prices even with shipping.

    in buydig the order took less than five minutes :big grin: and I jsut happenned to order the last one..damn I love those people

    Good move. I dumped my previous DSLR to upgrade before the price went rock bottom. No regrets.

    First one had a focus problem... wouldn't focus with some lenses, would be fine with others. stopped working after I put my SB-800 on it.

    Second one had several dead pixels and a weird sensor issue that made everything look ghost-y. Almost like chromatic aberration, only white not purple... and significantly more pronounced.

    Yeah, I'm pretty much in love with my current 300.... I had a bitter taste in my mouth from the first 2, but that's going away pretty quickly with this new one. Especially now that I have the battery grip and the en-el4a battery pack... hehehe...

    I love mine...I want to get the grip, I hear it makes the camera much more balanced...I'll have to shoot some more weddings to be able to afford the grip...and the EN-EL4A battery pack/charger.

    That's awesome, man. Congrats. That's prob. what I'll go with when my D70s breaks...I hope it won't be for a while since I don't feel like spending the money but the D300 is just such a sweet camera (I was playing around with it at the Photo Convention when it was in NY).

    well yeah..it was a nude session, I took around 20 pics total before I had her naked and wet body over me..that was awesome :big grin:

    and in other news last night I covered a small concert in a ridiculously full venue and im amazed at how useful live view actually was..I keep getting more impressed with the d300, plus I looked like terminator with both cameras hehehe

    What other cameras have live view? Is it just the d300? I find it so essential, yet sad that most slr's don't have it. Do you think it will eventually be a feature that upcoming models will establish in their products on the lower level slr bodies?
