So i just replaced the LCD on my MBP...

    And now this shit doesnt go to sleep when I close the lid.. :wtf:

    can anybody think of anything that may have caused this

    hmm... i'm not sure how it recognizes that the lid is closed, but there's magnetic latch things in the top, right? maybe something wasn't put back right?

    yeah, I just played with mine, it's through those latches.

    I found a little rectangular magnet stuck to my LCD... but i wasnt sure if that was from somewhere in my room or from the lcd.. so i just took it out

    found it.. theres a little slot on the side of the frame that houses the LCD... the magnet goes in there that activates a sensor right underneath the right speaker... if you put a magnet over that spot it puts the notebook to sleep too :coold:

    The little magnet is what puts it to sleep in some models.
