    renting it from borrowlenses.com

learn me on all these settings on the lens :noes:

m/a or m? what does that even mean?

full or infinite-2.5m...i assume that's focal focus range or something?

i'm going to be shooting with VR on...but with normal or active? i read somewhere that active is if you're shooting out of a car or something...which will be better for indoor action sports?

m means manual focus. m/a means auto focus with manual override by turning the ring

2.5m - infinite cuts off the focus range if you know that you arent going to be focusing on anything up close. it speeds up the focusing time in some situations.

normal VR is for general photography, tripods, and panning shots. active is for the constant vibrations generated by a moving vehicle (if youre shooting from one).

    have fun! :)

normal vr dampens vibration/movement in one axis of movement

active vr dampens vibration in two

not if he has a MD-80 on it.

god i want this lens soo bad.

i used a 55-200 vr kit lens at a local track event and it did "OK" but i wonder the 2.8 would have done.

prolly a lot more keepers, i would hope.

I didn't take it off my 700 for about a week straight after I got it. Def. have a boner over this lens still.
