Now what do I do? Thing is lightning fast and feels amazing. The trackpad makes me happy.:bowdown::bowdown:

Posting this from my old PC because its installing updates... now I just need to copy all of my music over through the home network.

Considering I was posting from my 5 year old pentium 4... I doubt I will want something better.

Anyone know how to access local networked computers?

Im playing with my first mac ever too!

I've figured out the windows file sharing. You need to use finder to access local computers and they should show up by name under 'Shared'. I had to use my userid/password for my 7 box because it wouldn't allow a guest. Didnt have a problem with my xp machine.

Just figured it out as well, already had file sharing enabled on the xp machine, and just had to find the network utility I was looking for on the mac.

And Google/download Perian. It's a nice little preference pane (resides in System Preferences) and helps Quicktime out with multiple video formats. Still no MKV support, however. I too use VLC and Movist...both great.

Just got my first mac last week too, but I'm already familiar w/ OSX from my snow leopard hackintosh.

I miss my freakin Home/End keys....that's about my only complaint. Is there an OSX equivalent I don't know about?

Home and End keys are on Apple's wired keyboard. However, the Command key + left/right arrows respectively will bring you to the beginning/end of your line.

If you are looking for this to submit a message on OT, you can't in Safari to my knowledge. Not sure why...

Firefox and the others I think work just fine though. But seriously, it's a button...click the damn thing. No one cares about how fast you can create a post. One of the biggest things I hate about this forum

the fuck on bro, it is more natural to type ur post and then click "control+s" instead of having to type then move ur hands and use the trackpad and click the fucking button, its as simple as that. has nothing to do with "how fast you can post" bro, it has everything to do with EASE of posting. i will now proceed to remove my hands from the keyboard and physically press the Submit Reply button.

Had some trouble getting itunes to play FLAC, so I downloaded XLD and just converted everything.

Tried Fluke and even renaming all of the files to .mov using automator, but it didnt work. Other than that its been smooth sailing.
