So I just found out i'm 230 lbs, 5'10''...

    I don't LOOK overweight, i just look chubby, so by that I'm wondering if 200 lbs would be my ideal weight to get to. I want to be built, big, so I can defend myself and be active in sports and such.

    I had a cyst removed that cut a vein and I lost a lot of blood about two and a half weeks ago, so that slowed me down with some weightlifting and my daily jump rope.

    If I work out everyday and jump rope 30 minutes-60 minutes a day, how long do you think i'll be able to lose that 30 pounds?

    I really have no idea as to how fast you can lose weight, but i heard that the first 15-20 pounds are easy, but after that it takes a long time and hard work to shred the rest.

    I'd probably think you were a fat slob if you posted a picture, it's all in the eye of the beholder. Weight is a stupid measurement too, being 230lbs with 9% body fat or 25% body fat are worlds different.

    oh no there is fat, i need to take my six pack out of the fridge if you know what i mean.

    i don't have a picture, t-shirts cover my stomach fat well, but my arms, legs are fine. It all goes to my stomach, thats why a picture would be tricky.

    People see themselves different, I know fat girls that think they just need to lose a little fat in X area, when I look at them I think they look fat in every area. They only see the fat in their stomach or legs, I see it all over.

    but yeah, with that kind of routine how long do you think it would take to lose 30? a month?

    Indeed. You won't find any miracle diets though. Losing weight right takes work. :coolugh:

    oh that I know, If it wasn't for this cyst mishap i'd be still working out, I have a wait a couple more days to get the ok from the doctor.

    I'm lnot lookin to be fit in a month, I know it takes time and effort, I was just curious as to how long things would happen with my given routine.

    It's not a plan. You seem to forget eating. Plan your diet, eat a little below maintenance and see the fat go... slowly. 2 lbs a week is probably the best thing to do in the beginning, then 1-2 lbs/week isn't bad. So here's your answer : about 4 months.

    Dude, the stickies have EVERYTHING to do with you.

    How fast and easy it will be will depend on a LOT of different factors, but if youre as fat as I would guess then it shouldnt be too difficult, but the important thing is losing the right kind of weight.

    but remember... 200 lbs. is just a short-term goal... after you get to 200, you might discover that you don't look how you thought you would

    So, ijust found out that i'm not 230, the scale was wrong, I weighed myself the next day and i'm 198-200.

    thank god, I knew something was wrong becuase i didn't look 230, nor did i feel 230.

    Either way, 180 seems like a good weight now.
