finally after years of looking and indecisiveness, i plunked down the cash for a membership. the gym is Colossus Boxing in dallas. its predominantly spanish but the people seem nice, and there seem to be pretty decent boxers training. I cant wait to start sparing. :wiggle:

Start doing plenty of roadwork in your spare time to raise your stamina for the incoming training. It will look good on you if you seem to be fit and eager.

roadwork? like running? I try to run at least twice a week. I do weights 3 times will do boxing 3 times, and 2 days of soccer. My training schedule is pretty full.

Indeed, running. Stamina is the big thing in boxing, it's not a nice feeling to gas out in the ring against somebody wanting to smash your head in. Sounds like you got it covered.
