Yea. So Ive been trying to get into the SMP program now, most of the issue is my BMI or whatever they call it now. Been in ROTC for soon to be two years by May.

Been talking to a Sgt. at the local National Guard unit, says that I am at 33% now, but wants me to lose 5% in about 2 months, or else I cannot get into basic for next summer. Other then that, if I fall short, I would have to do that waiver thing? Where I'd have to do that step-up for 5 minutes and then pushups.

I'm just a little ticked cause I cant build any muscle mass now (been trying to cause I want to go for football next year)

In his words, "these next two months will suck"

For understanding, I am 6'6" tall and at about 315

He seems to think it's possible, has anyone had anything similar happen to them?

i used to have a real shitty diet and i would only crap every other day or so....

down a bunch of those fiber one bars and cereal for like a week, you'll lose like 10 pounds in shit alone

Bah, Ive been eating rasin brand like crazy lately.

I'm not going to eat pasta, only water now, strict meat onlyish type of diet. Only eat bread with a sandwich. Oh, and chef salad's FTW.

I'll also be doing alot of running :hs:

Cardio and a hardcore diet will be your friend. When I need to drop weight like a bad habit it's straight up tuna fish and grapefruit juice three times a day.

you can do it man, but it's a lifestyle change.

I was a tub, larger than you by far and in the same boat. 2 years into ROTC, but not meeting weight standards. Needed to make weight to get into the ROTC field training. I lost 60lbs in 90 days by working out 2 hours a day, and eating VERY healthy and calorie restricted, about 1500 calories a day. I ate plenty, wasn't hungry after the first week or two. I lost 60 lbs, went to training just fine. Came back, got into weight lifting and got pretty big.

Now, 5 years later I'm married and plump... man I need to lose the weight again.

Thanks. Yea, it's really hard to hold back lol Just had a cookout yesterday for the FSU game, and damn, I wanted to pig out like a Mofo.

But I've been holding back on my eating so far.

Well, I just remembered, he considers me only have "two months" because he factors in the time lost from vacations; christmas and thanksgiving/new years. I have to talk to him again to confirm what date I have to be ready by.

start a log man, seriously. Log what you eat and count everything. And start a good exercise program that is heavy on cardio. 6 weeks is plenty of time to lose some serious weight. As long as you are diciplined and work hard you can do this easily.

take the grapefruit juice and replace it with water.

you should try to eat alot of fibrous veges b/c when you're on a hardcore diet.. your shit is going to be hard/sharp/very hard to pass.

so eat alot of greens/lean meat/water/low gi carbs.

The hardest thing for me right now concerning food, is that I dont exactly have the budget to get all the healthy foods. *sigh* I got groceries last week, but I'm broke until later this week.

Im going to try and concentrate on a protein diet (not all the time lol) but will do my best to balance everything out.

I think if just maintain what Ive been doing so far and keep up the workout routine, I'll be good to go.

When I got measured, he measure around my bell/waist and my neck. He said that my neck is the first to go, apparently..

Oh he said to cut out sugers as well. No regular gatorade and or orange juice :wtc:

Tell that to my cheating ex :hs:

As for the carbs, that was actually my biggest problem, I am not eating pasta and or breads for awhile. Works outs, I will do!

I really hope its easy enough to lose in a week :hsd:

    Thanks bro

Yea, Ive been drinking gatorade, orange juice, and water. I've cut back ALOT from soda. I think I can actually factor that as one of the reason's I am overweight today.

I used to drink ALOT of soda, so much so that some resturants actually cut me off from free refills (yea, I know)
