So I have never burned a DVD......

    and im looking to start...ive been burnin CD's forever but now i wanna do DVD's.

    I have a MBP so i minus well use the superdrive.


    Primarily i wanted to burn xbox games, but also and be able to play files i dl from the net, like lost season 3 and entourage, any random movies!

    anyone wanna help a nukka out, what do i need to get started to be able to do this? Do i need to download a certain type of movie file? usually i download the movies that are ~700MB, the xvids i believe..

    Also what kind of DVD's do i buy? DVD-R? DVD+R? :hs:

    Thanks cant wait to do more with my MBP!:bigthumb:

    interesting i will look into it. Can it do my xbox games and xvids?


    also any particular brand of dvd's u buy? dont want shitty quality dvd's that wear away/scratch easy.

    Get Toast Titanium and Mactheripper. Personally I dont think the DVD brand matters, I just buy the cheapest.

    i got toast last night :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

    before toast i was just using the defualt buring function that mac has, and three dvd's went bad, with toast i burned 4 dvd's perfectly :)

    for the xbox games you'll be burning dvd images so that should be easy with any dvd burning software. for the movies, you're not going to be able to play xvid movies in a normal dvd player without re-encoding them to certain format. read about how to do that, or start downloading dvd rips of movies which will be about 4.5 gigs

    damn..4.5 gigs that would get old fast... toast can re-encode correct?
    and when i burn a xbox game do i burn it as a data dvd?
