I'm working a labour job where im lifting / walking / exherting myself for about 5- 7 hours a day total (job is from 7-6).

So, with all these calories being expended, I see I have two options. Try to eat at maitenance, which would be a shit load more, and put on some lean mass, but would likely be extremley hard to do with all the calorie expenditure.

    OR

Take advantage of this situation, cut cals, and get lean as fuck.

However, i consider myself fairly skinny 1RM numbers for comparison

    Bench Press 205
    Squat 260
    Deadlift 320

I'm leaning towards cutting down for the summer, get lean as hell, and then putting on some solid lean mass through the fall / winter.

    What would you do? :hs:

I'd cut. Situation lends itself towards it... besides, its summer anyways. Get lean and enjoy lookin cut for the bitches. Get your winter bulk on when job/eating habits allow.

I worked it out, it looks like about 5500 calories a day to put on some mass. Hard to do without stuffing my face with wendys and mcdonlands

Consider a high fat/low carb diet. I tried it (still on it) and I saw very good results. Easy to eat a large caloric ammount, maintain leanness. I think timber did something similar.

Hey i wanted to ask you this forever but i kept forgetting.. I am at 146lbs (i know i know), how many carbs would be needed if i were to continue cutting? I think i'm almost done with my cut, just trying to achieve 10% bodyfat and look good for the summer, will work things out from there. Not sure where i am right now but i think it's a fairly low amount, maybe 11-13.5%, around there. Really need to test myself at a gym... Anyways, how many carbs should i be striving for per day? Also, did you ever do carb reefing?

Oh and before anyone tries to attack me, i didn't lose any muscle whatsoever, in fact, my lifts have gone up for every single exericise.

Edit: Oh i was about 165-170 before my cut, about 2 months ago..very slow progress since it took me a while to figure out a good diet and everything.

Our goals are different. Besides, so far i have seen nothing but good come out of this. No muscles lost, a lot more definition to muscles, abdomen area starting to get a lot more define, abs starting to show. My lifts are going up still, and i'm almost done with my cut either way. Just wanted to know for a future reference anyways...i was thinking 50-100g per day, but i'm not sure.

I consume about 150-200 carbs a day, with one "refeed" day, which is also my day off/cheat day. Then again I dont like the bloat from carbs and I'm trying to stay as lean as possible while bulking on 3500-4000 calories a day.
