I wen't out and got one.

I've started to develop a mild case of buyers remorse...but I think that once I get a chance to get out and really shoot with it I'll feel much better.

I guess it's time to really start to get involved with the equipment and learn how to better use it now. :o

    Obligatory pic of new toy:

Pic was taken with my 17-70mm 2.8-4.5 Sigma DC lens...which is a midget in comparison.

Nice. Let me know if you don't want it. I'll take it off your hands.

I don't mind the weight at all. I think I am subliminally associating weight with quality...but it relaxes me a little bit. :o

and it doesn't back focus. hooray.

/jealous. I will end up having to buy this lens one day. For now the 17-40L is kicking some ass.

I'm going to try to get this thing past venue security at the next sporting event/concert etc I go to. If they try to stop me I'll club them with it and run.

The only lens I managed to get into a Rockets game last year was my 50mm f/1.4... they told me I couldn't even take my 18-200 in w/ me because "it extended out past 4 inches" :hsugh:

    $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

and I'm not exactly a baller.

It fits all my cameras...and I want to try to persue photography a bit more indepth with the possibility of switching careers...so I figure I might as well learn with the big boy equipment.

some guy on POTN attached his camera to the straps of his back pack. so when he is out for a long time or hiking....it isnt hanging around his neck and the straps hold all the weight...

i think those are overpriced but you would get more use out of it than i would. i was so close to spending $600 on a 28mm prime, but it would have never depreciated.

I walk around all the time with two bodies, but I carry them on my shoulders. Never been a problem for me. :dunno:
