I mentioned this in the main forum but figures I should post it here, for those who wanted to see it... my scottish family coat of arms. looks a little crooked but thats just the camera angle. she did a pretty good job I think.

she only charged me 200 so she got a nice tip. it took about 3 hours. and yeah I'd like to add more too it. maybe not a half sleeve but extend the ribbons around my arm. the only thing I dont like is that we did it off center. its more towards the back of my arm because I want to add my family crest on my bicep, so we had to leave room. but im not completely happy with its position now that its finished... but it will due for now. once everything is done, it will look good. also she didn't do it perfectly symmetrical but you can hardly notice unless you look very closely. overall i'm pretty happy with it.

There's a ton of possibilities. Personally, I'd probably make the mask black/gunmetal, the banner a greenish color, the stars maybe blue, the shield red and yellow...just play around in photoshop and see what appeals to you.

Looks nice. No color, just have shading added.

I agree with it being a good base for a half sleeve. If its done right it'll blend perfectly.

Search the internet with your last name. Your family will have a unique shield... the rest of the piece is pretty universal for all families. I found several examples and gave them all to my artist. She drew up my design using the examples I gave her. If you are interested, I can post some of the examples I used. But yeah google your last name + coat of arms and look at the shield.

it looks cool.. and i agree a lil color would look sick on it... and if you go with the flow a 1/2 sleeve would look awesome..

I like it. I would probably add more color, but that's me personally.

    :wavey: Scottish Crew!

    Whyte Clan here.

I'd eventually like something with the family crest and tartan
