So I found out why milk costs almost half as much in the USA as other countries.

American milk is cheap because most diary farms in the US inject rBGH (Recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone) into cows. This allows the cows to produce more milk. This hormone is carcenigenic however, and increases the rate of cancer in people who drink it. It also causes sores where pus can be leaked into the milk. RBGH use s banned in almost every country except the US.

You're right, it is subsidized and that affects the prices, not hormones

But the prices are a lot higher than they used to be. And have you ever traveled overseas? Everything is more expensive.

This is so :greddy:. We can pump our cows full of hormones but we can't use them ourselves.
