actually, im trying to do more cardio now so i can slim down. i've been running more and as a result im getting more hungry throughout the day. my question is - if my goal is to lose weight and slim down, should i be fulfilling my desires to eat? or should i man-up and allow myself to go a little hungry, in hopes of reducing my caloric intake for the day?

for those that are going to recommend i continue eating because my body will store fat if i allow myself to be hungry - why do appetite suppressants exist if not eating contributes to weight loss?

What ^ is trying to say is that its better to eat a maintenance level of calories for the weight you want to be at, using healthy foods to do so. Starving yourself will just cause muscle loss and will not be what you want.
People here recommend 1-2lbs/week, thats usually best.
    Start lifting weights.

A little bit of hunger pains are fine. You should really figure your caloric intake for maintenance level and go from there.

start lifting and eating around maintenance..the worst thing you can do is go hungry.

Just eat more protein and cut back on fat and carbs (don't completely eliminate carbs, you need them to operate).
