Nice, I would have picked that over a DPMS too. How much did it set you back?

I'll sell you my tangodown vertical grip for cheap. Like $35 shipped. It's black, and the fullsize version.

It was $1399 which is more than I initially wanted to spend but it has everything I really wanted (floating barrel, quad rails, flip up sights, etc). so I thought I minus whale just get what I want and not dick around assembling it piecemeal.

I paid $1420. You got a decent deal.

don't forget to send in your $50 mail in rebate to S&W

 According to fatwallet, $100 rebate for MP15 rifles :coold:

Extended and revised promotion: From now through April 30, 2008 S&W is offering a $50.00 rebate and 2 free magazines by mail on the economical Sigma and M&P lines of pistols. That's an $82 value**. Rebates are per verifiable serial number and not per household... As far as I know you can buy and submit for as many as you like*. Note that the rebates are being handled directly by Smith & Wesson and not by some fly by night fulfillment house. People are reporting that the magazines are showing up in 3-4 weeks with the check following 8-12 weeks later.
    Additional rebates:
    $50 for 1000 Series shotguns
    $75 for i-Bolt rifles
$100 for any SW1911 pistols or MP15 rifles
    Link-a-bang!
    Edit: Added Review links:
    Review M&P45 (full sized)
    Review M&P9c (compact)
Review Sigma (2nd generation - 3rd is current)
    * Worked for me, so far I've received the freebies from multiple purchases and one check. Please verity eligibility with S&W but I'm pretty sure that this is NOT YMMV.
    ** Fuzzy math. This was a $132ish value when magazines listed for $41 ($50 rebate + 2 x $41 mags). The price is supposed to drop to ~$25 next month ($50 + 2 x $25 = $100 value). Go figure.

My buddy has the "T" model and I have the standard M&P15. Great rifles IMO, I've never had a hiccup, and it hits everything I shoot at.
