Canon EOS-10D, slightly used 2 month old (8000 shots)
Includes camera body, neck strap, one battery, battery charger, software, documentation
Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM with hard case and lens hood
Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM with hard case and lens hood
Canon EF 20mm f/2.8L USM with lens hood
Canon EF 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro
    Canon BP-511 Extended Battery
    Canon BP-511 Extended Battery
    Canon BP-511 Extended Battery
Canon BG-ED3 Battery grip w/vertical shutter release and hand strap
    Canon CR-560 Automotive-lighter battery charger
    Canon EF UV filter
SanDisk 1GB Ultra II CF card (60x)

under $4000 for the package, :bigthumb:

I've ALWAYS wanted a DSLR, this time the price was right, and I sold a bunch of older computer stuff and software to get about $2000, so this is only taking another $2k out of my pocket.

I've had a few Prosumer digicams but i always returned them under 30days because I just wasn't happy. I've been using a sony u-20 for a few years as my only camera which is tiny and portable, but horrid quality. like camera phone +++ quality.

I retired from using a Canon T70 because of film, and repairs it needed... had some good FD lenses too, so i may get an adapter to the EF mount.

I should have it all under a week from now. very excited! :wiggle:

I think I have lenses covered with the 20mm fixed, then 24-200mm in telephotos... does anyone have the 2x magnifier? was thinking of getting that instead of a 400mm fixed, as it'd be much cheaper and I wouldn't use it often...

Also can anyone reccomend a good set of polarize/etc filters?

I think the retail price on what I got is approaching $6k... and by under 4k i meant about $3700

edit- focal length is 1.6x so to the 35mm equivlent, the 20mm is actually 35mm, and then i go from 39-320mm... so 2x would give me 640mm zoom :eek3:

i will probably also need a 14 or 16mm fixed to get wider angles than 35mm effective, and i may get a better macro lens than the cheapie. and maybe a 550ex flash...

    Not a bad price.

I'd get a 1.4x TC over a 2x (quality is usually better), if you can afford it get a 400mm f/2.8 but only if you have a need for it.

Damn good deal!! I would also get the 1.4x TC instead of 2.0x TC. From what I hear quality loss isnt as bad or next to none on the 1.4 but noticeable on the 2X

outpost.com and buy.com have extra 1gb ultraII cf cards for $199.

way to go on the lenses though, you'll be happy with those
