    Well, I haven't done anything yet, but I'm on my way. I sored and signed an 11x Option 40 (Infantry Airborne Ranger) contract yesterday, and ship out 20080103. :fawk:

    My butt has been in high gear for a while now, and its almost go-time. Any words of wisdom for me? With 8 weeks to go, I'm going to be quite busy, but I'd take any helpful advice.

    Good luck.

    What are the details? Go to Basic, then Sandhill, then Airborne, then AIT?

    At the Basic Airborne Course don't forget to maintain that 1 arm's distance from the guy in front of you and do not be the last person in the run. The slinky effect sucks balls!

  10. Don't get delta company at airborne school haha.

    I don't think he has a choice. He goes when they tell so he can't really plan it.

    I was in Delta Company. If I had waited 1 more week, I would have been in Charlie Co.

    I have a friend who went to BAC twice. He got sent back the first day of jump week while in the C-130 mock up during SAT. First time was in Alpha Co., second time was in Delta Co. He said that Alpha Co. was much worse than Delta Co. He said in Alpha Co. they smoked people for no reason. Delta Co. is just known for its running.

  12. I was in delta too and saw enlisted kids joining the "41 club" at the first pt test. I know he doesn't get to pick the company he gets I was kidding.

    That "41 club" is crap, but they gotta thin out the class somehow.

    During the PT test run, you are going to want to be at the start line in front. This will give some extra time because they don't start the clock until the last person is across the start line.

  14. haha! I never thought about that. I just jogged it though came in at 14 exactly. My sgt. airborne was a laid back marine, he was cool as hell.

    Was he a short white guy? If so, he was there when I was there. When did you go through BAC?

    There was a SSG there with a Ranger tab that cracked me up. He told everyone to look to their left and to there right and said "listen up Airborne, some of your buddies are turds! They know they're turds, once a turd, always turd. Can't polish no turd, Airborne." He was also saying "Airborne ain't for everyone. If you want to talk about it, I got some donuts and coffee inside. Come on in and we will talk about it."

    :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

  16. Yes I don't remember the ssg, but I am a cadet. I went through airborne in august.

    I think the omellete with ham was the worst. The ham slice is a close second.

    Here is a link for MRE menus past, present and future.

    Damn, I forgot how many nasty meals there were.
