It took me like an hour :mamoru:. I did 3 pullups, 3 chinups, 3 of the side pullups (palms facing each other), and then 3 widegrip pullups..... rest 1 minute and repeat until I worked my way up to 200 total reps. It took me an hour and I can't feel my arms today, I did it while watching the F1 GP of Japan (poor schumacher :wtc: ). The biggest thing was that I never went to failure but still did a shitload of reps, so i'm hoping this will help me improve my 1 set max reps.

What do you guys think of my new way of training? I read over on rosstraining that if you train to failure, you train to fail or some mantra feel good BS like that, so the goal is to do a shitload of reps but never go to failure, and just test yourself once a week for a 1 set of max reps.

No thanks, I don't want all those extra calories and transfat.

I was looking for more along the lines of your thoughts as to whether training like this will increase my 1 set max reps or not, but okay.

no, I don't do deadlifts at all, I can't get the form right for some reason. Most i've ever DL'ed was 135 for like 7 reps and that was sumo style :o.

Have you ever tried getting stronger in the weight room instead of just focusing on doing pullups? Because if you only deadlift 135, then I can understand why you are having trouble w/ them

you're thinking of nubian...he dl's like 655 for 5, but has been in the process of moving for about 3 or 4 months now so he can't post any pics/vids.

I'm lifting heavy 3x per week, but I go easy on leg day so I don't hurt my running.

I don't know what it is with DL's but no matter what I just cannot get the form down, everyone who has observed me said I have really long femurs or some shit which is why I have an impossible time trying to DL. So I just don't do them and do other back stuff instead.
