Honestly, on the lunges I felt alot of calf work, so I actually thought about cutting out calf raises, but after the calf raises, I was glad I did them.

I always finish my leg routine with a few sets of donkey calf raises...i don't see any harm in it. On your lunges make sure you are pushing through your heels...you may be pushing off of your toes which made your calves feel like they got somewhat of a workout.

Hmmm, true. I just do the stationary lunges. Extend out, then push back. But now that you mention it, I do remember pushing back with the tips of my toes.

I started doing front squats after Ceaze posted up that article about front squats. I always thought I had good form with regular squats, but after trying fronts and having my legs killed twice as much, I knew I was doing something wrong.

However, I still don't get what you are trying to say? I still feel it in my quads, I didn't realize front squats were different than regular. Just thought just an easier way to hit quads for people who don't have good form.

    You bitch, what for?

The gym is the same as ever, scary old men rocketing their bodies with weights. No new hot chicks either. There are some different dudes there now that are hardcore and make me want to go cry in the locker room.

moving closer to work. The 80 mile daily round trip is brutal, and costs about $320 per month in fuel.

yeah, front squats hit your quads, and so do lunges.
back squats for me atleast are more of a back hamstring and glute exercise.

ah. that will be something for me to think about then. back squats usually hit my quads more, but I put weights under my heels also.
