I've shot rifles a lot in my life and some shotguns, but lately the idea of shooting a handgun has enticed me so I signed up for a Basic Shooting class at the range by my house and tonight I went. I've been researching the Glock 19s and thought that's what I should practice on, unfortunately theirs was not available tonight so I tried the Glock 17. Anyways, about 75 rounds in or so it didn't fire, called the instructor over he unchambered the round, chambered the next round and said have fun... but it didn't work again. The trigger wasn't out like it was supposed to be, it was like it was still depressed from the prior shot. So I called him back over and he took a look at it and said it broke... he says that since it was a range gun it doesn't surprise him, but wtf happened here? Anyways, I switched to an XD9, which was pretty nice as well. Here's my shooting, not very tight at all, but it was my first handgun firing. So a few things: -Not sure if the handgun has bit me enough to buy one, we'll see how it goes in the next few days -It was quite embarrassing that I couldn't load the 10 round mag easily, BIG shot to the ego -What could the problem have been with the Glock? I didn't do anything wrong I don't think.
