Cause i dont wanna pay though the ass to refinish my pistol.

Anyone have any experiance with blue wonder bluing/black? does it look purdy? is it easy to fuck up?

I dont have the Blue wonder yet... its on its way though.

My pistol used to look like this-
    [IMG]
(touched back up - used to have alot of wear)

i decided i wanted to just redo it cause the touchups didnt match..
    so i stripped it.

THEN i found out how much it wouldcost to reblue professionally and was like :hsugh:...

its been reblued since then (all cold blue) and your like :ugh:... it doesnt look pretty and i didnt cold blue it for the looks, but so i could store it till i do something with it.

So i was just hoping i could spend 25 bux and come out with a semi nice bluing wit hthis blue wonder stuff. Other ideas?

o, and srry for the shitty iPhone pics.

    EDIT: ibwherearethescrewsforthegrips

to be honest... i dont know why i didnt put the screws in before takingthe pics.

I've used it for spot work but never tried to do an entire gun. Biggest problem I've heard of people having with it is getting it even.

I've never seen and of the "cold" bluing stuff turn out to not look like shit. Might have been better to leave the original finish. Not to mention, usually a cheap blue job entails the refinisher buffing the shit out of your gun, which makes it look like a bar of soap.

+1 for parking it, or doing some other spray on finish.

i used blue wonder on an old .22 and it was ok. it was a little hard to get it even, but once you get the process down its not so bad. but if it was something that holds any value to you i would look elsewhere.

yea, but then it basically has to live in oil otherwise it takes no time to show a lil surface rust..
