Out of my mind, brb never.
So tuesday was the big 21 and I am now getting my CCL. I have a 92FS that has been "officially" given to me from my father, and I want to trade it in for a pistol thats better suited for concealed carry. I love the handgun, but its not the kind of gun I would want to carry IWB or anything else for that matter. I would like to do a straight trade, but putting down a few extra franklins isnt out of the question. So far I am looking at the Glock 19 or 22.

Since it was your dads I'd be temped to hang onto it for sentimental value. Either of those Glocks will be fine, along with almost every gun that people are going to freak out further in this thread about.

As to holsters, it's up to your body type. But I absolutely LOVE Milt Sparks VM2's.

I'd also hang on to the 92, even though I can't stand them. Guns from family are sentimental keepsakes more than shooters, for the most part. I have a Remington M41 Targetmaster that I hated when I got it from my parents, but I keep it because they gave it to me.

My favorite holster thus far is an AKJ Concealco Readyline. Most comfortable, most concealing holster I have. Search for my Holsters, Illustrated thread.

I'm looking at getting "the Answer" from Tucker Gunleather; but I haven't carried yet so I can't comment on it; I've only heard people rave about it and say it's their favorite ev4r. :hs:

You'll probably go through about 5 holster or more before you find one you like :o

Bear in mind that the Answer is a CTAC with a full leather backer. Not to take away from Tonerguy, the company makes INCREDIBLE leather, but some folks may prefer the CTAC.

I wouldn't say it's trash, but it's definitely an interim holster until you can get something better. They're nice in that the turn around is a few days instead of several months. I've been waiting for months for my PCH. I should order a VM2 now just because it'll take half a year to get it too :wtc:

    Sorry. :noes:
Top Gun Supply emailed me today and said they just got some in today for 3" 1911, so an hour later I ordered one.
Just black with 1 1/2" belt loops.

I know... it's my own fault for picking a ... less common carry weapon. :hs:

I wouldn't say a Para Warthog is COMMON by any means.
I'd say neither of ours are really all that "common" for carry guns. Not like a compact or sub-compact Glock would be.
Of course, if you wanted to snazz up your VM2 a little bit, then I could see ordering straight through MS. Like shark skin and all that... but I don't need that snazzy crap. It'll be in my pants anyway.

I know I said I'd never get one (a long while ago), but I'm thinking of doing just that. It'd be a cheaper one though.

Those are kinda neat actually. Can't comment on how they run though.
