is there any science to it or do you just pick one at random then choose complimentary colors, etc?
I sample colours from photos lots too.. to get stuff outside the usuals.

All of these are great resources. Just looking at these color palates brings many different ideas to my head. Keep posting them if you have any more guys!
I suck at design and things related, but I've been reading all I can on typeface and design theory. It goes a long way when designing UI's.
I know so much more than I used to just from this one specific book.
what book is it? I've read so much shit on typography It's an art in its own imo.

Its the difference between looking at a well done page and knowing why its aesthetically appealing and simply not knowing.
ever since I started doing interface design I see more beauty in simplicity and good typography than anything else.

there's a documentary called Helvetica on netflix instant.. pretty neat
