For me, no. I don't know what he was doing so I can't say but I do wish he would have finished the fight. There is so much I do not know about what was happening with his mind that I still look at his overall ability and career and appreciate that as a whole.

desert delerium sapped his energy and fighting ability. fighting at 100 degree humid weather took BJ and Anderson's fighting spirit.

Yes. Not because of how he fought, but because of why he fought that way.

Nope, I expected the fight to pretty much go the way it did.

I don't sit there and think do I respect some guy on TV that I have never met and will never meet in my life.. but I actually enjoy ordering PPV's with people and will never order a Silva one in the future. Just makes no sense to. I don't care if you outclass your opponents so much, finish the fight instead of being a retard.

I still think he's a superb fighter and can outclass most in his weight class as well as 205 if he chose too

    BUT

I have lost respect for him for not finishing, not pushing the pace and making sure he was entertaining.

yes i know the name of the game is to win, but if you bore the fucking shit out of everyone you won't make as much PPV $$$ for the org you're in.

plus, it's not just the business of fighting, it's an entertainment business so he's failing at 1/2 of his job

I still think he's a great fighter, but he has no respect for his fans or PPV buyers so i don't have respect for him.

fucking finish you fucking ass hole, edit,,, you fucking boring ass hole

It is entirely an entertainment business, he wouldn't have a job fighting if people weren't entertained by it. He's failing at 100% of his job.

Funny how hated the New England Patriots are because they use to run up the score in football games. But A Silva didnt go for a unnecessary Ko and hes a scumbag for not entertaining us

I hate the Patriots for being cheating bastards :dunno:

And since when is a KO unnecessary? I mean, are submissions not necessary? Should we even be scoring the bouts?

I lost respect for him but I will still buy every pay-per-view he is in just for hopes of seeing him demonstrating his skill like he did vs Forrest Griffin, Chris Leben, or Dan Henderson in the 2nd round.

I dont like the fact that he didnt finish the fight when he could have in the final rounds, but i wont go as far as to say that i like him anyless because of it.
He obviously gets so bored and outclasses these guys so much that he clowns around.

Get him some competitors that can actually challenge him and *poof* no more clowning.

Anderson vs Vitor Belfort, GSP, Rampage, Mousasi (knock on wood) or any other high profile non bjj guy. Than ill happily purchase the fight. The problem is Silva is just being matched up poorly.

    .

I have lost respect for him after that fight, and him dodging questions in the post fight presser.

Anybody who thinks he isnt the best @185 is smoking that good shit too.
He is an amazingly skilled fighter. And I also dont get why people are giving Maia shit, Maia wouldnt play into his strengths just as anderson didnt want to play into his. And Maia was going hard in the last round.

We all know he could have and should have finished it, the question is why not? That is why i lost respect for him- not all of it but some.

As a fighter? No, I gained respect for him.
As a person? Yes. I used to train at a school he was associated with, and if they announced he was coming to town, I wouldn't go.
